The story of a single woman adopting a special needs girl. It includes the daily, monthly, and yearly escapades of the family. This includes grandma, three dogs, school officials, and friends. It is a steep learning curve for both with trying to find resources for help and growth. Both of them are rather naive about what can or will be done but the saga continues as the girl is now 30 and mom is 70. I was raised on a small farm in Ohio. No one ever agreed to marry me so to complete my desire to have a child, I adopted. I worked as a lab technician in a dairy for eight years. I took a pay cut to go to work at the post office as a clerk. After 23 and a half years I took early retirement. At 52 I actually moved west of the Ohio border to Jackson, Wyoming. I have since shifted westward to Idaho. I love playing cards, reading, jigsaw puzzles, and being frustrated with people in my life. I wish I could afford to raise sheep and be in the country but it is not going to happen. I decided to keep a journal after Ericka came into my life. It was the only way I could remember all the hilarious remarks and antics of my life.
