Merzbild Schwet, originally released in 1980, stands as one of the early cornerstones of Steven Stapleton's sprawling, uncategorizable Nurse With Wound catalog. Rooted in the same absurdist collage spirit that inspired the famous Nurse With Wound List, it sits at the intersection of surrealist tape manipulation and industrial unease, predating much of what would later be called experimental electronics. For collectors who follow the lineage from Dada through Throbbing Gristle and beyond, this one belongs in the conversation.
