    Lori Erickson grew up on a farm near Decorah and earned a B.A. from Luther College and M.A. from the University of Iowa. She has written about her home state for a wide variety of publications and is the author of books that include Sweet Corn & Sushi, Holy Rover, Near the Exit, and The Soul of the Family Tree. She lives in Iowa City with her husband, Bob Sessions.
