Alice Ivy’s first foray into music, an ill-fated tryst with the clarinet, was swapped for guitar before she began beat-making inspired by the likes of The Avalanches and J Dilla. In 2016 the 24-year old artist- producer released “Touch” and “Almost Here” amassing more than 2M plays on Spotify. Her September showcase at BIGSOUND 2016 in Brisbane was widely reported as one of the best of the conference. In March 2017, she released “Get Me A Drink”, added to high rotation on triple j and in September 2017 she served up “Be Friends”, also added to high rotation on triple j. Together the songs have over 1.5M streams. In 2018 Alice Ivy released her latest sing “Chasing Stars” which features ARIA-award winning, singer-songwriter, Bertie Blackman. In the last 18-months, she has performed more than 100 shows in 4 continents including lead supports for the likes of Foster The People (US), Oh Wonder (UK), Billie Eilish (UK) Urthboy, Remi and E^ST. Prolific Toronto-bred producer and musical polymath Harrison is the man behind a catalog of projects with a cult following that belies his age. Hailing from Montreal and the daughter of two classical musicians, RYAN Playground grew up surrounded by art. Her introspective debut EP, Elle, was released via Secret Songs in 2016 with the standout being a collaboration with label-head Ryan Hemsworth titled “Folders”. She was on the Secret Songs tour with Hemsworth and Harrison last spring; played the Canadian festival circuit over last summer along with SXSW recently, and made her Paris debut at Nuit Boreale in June. Loving's intimate, lo-fi psychedelic folk songs inspire a sense of ease while being deceptively intricate. With lyrics written by both Jesse and Lucas, the lush, homespun collection of songs were recorded to tape, mixed, and mastered by David in his self-described “cold, dismal” basement studio in Victoria. Louis Prince is the moniker of Orange County, CA artist Jake McMullen, and serves as the new platform for his debut record, Thirteen. Influenced by 50’s and 60’s Jazz, French New Wave cinema and the stream-of- consciousness literary styles of Jack Kerouac and Joseph Conrad, Thirteen feels more like a product of the Beat Generation mid-century Greenwich Village than of Music City.
